''The project was a complete external and internal redecoration of a listed cottage which had not been decorated for 10 years. Richard was understanding while we waited for planning permission to change the colour of the exterior rendering. The redecoration was carried out precisely to (my wife's) exacting specification. They also laid a hearth in front of the Rayburn and tiled the kitchen to an equally high standard.

Richard and his team restored an oak beam in the kitchen ceiling by removing layers of black gloss pain. They also restored and stained wooden floors and a staircase.

When we requested modifications of the decorations Richard acceded without complaint. The workmanship transformed our house to the point where I would look forward to getting home to see what he had achieved.

On arrival there was very little other evidence that they had been there. In fact, when they replaced books and ornaments on shelves that had been decorated, they were arranged in such a way that the overall look was improved and we have left them just as he did!

Another strength was communication by email or text regularly to ensure our vision for the house came to being exactly. RS Renovations also had useful suggestions to make on the type and quality of paint or stain. The fact that most of the rooms were painted in Dulux Snowman was at Richard's suggestion.

Whenever it was not possible for them to work we were always informed.''
